Our Humble Beginnings

Where to begin!! Technically this whole venture starts about four years ago when my mother and I started wanting to build our own little compound, live off the land, and have a few chickens. We bought a 19 acres in the Hudson Valley and started making vague plans to build…then Covid came along. Lock down became a thing, so we packed the family out to the property every Saturday to mow, chop down a tree island with a baby on my back, create paths, and raise chickens. Pandemic restrictions started coming to an closing point and we started getting more serious about building…and found it cost prohibitive…and back to the drawing board we were for our property to make this happen.

Forward to this past summer and we put our Hudson Valley property up for sale and began our search for acreage further north…and maybe a bit more acreage to do more with. And we found it! In the beautiful tri-state area of MA, VT and NY we found 27.7 acres nestled in lower Washington County, NY.

A gorgeous piece of property that will allow us to go through with all of our big plans. And we want to take all of you along for our journey and be there with is when we reach our goals! Come along while we live in campers in upstate NY winter, build our farm garden, add animals to our farm, raise our babies in our homes stead ;-)
